The fourth edition of the North East Festival is all set to begin at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi from today. The three-day festival (November 4 to 6, 2016) includes traditional music and dances, art exhibitions and the cuisines of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. There will also be performances by Papon and the well-known rock band Traffic Jam, among others. The festival is an endeavour to unfurl the rich cultural heritage of the northeastern states to the rest of the country.
