India has seen a rapid rise in COVID-19 cases and the death count has also gone up. This has resulted in many countries announcing a ban on Indian travellers.

Here is a list of countries that have issued orders to ban travel to and from India.

Canada
India faces the longest country-specific travel ban imposed by Canada. The country has banned all passenger flights from India for 30 days due to the spike in COVID-19 cases. The flight ban was enforced at&nbspmidnight on April 22.

UAE
The UAE&nbsphas banned travellers from India for 10 days from April 24 which will take effect from 11.59 pm. The ban is subject to review after 10 days. Passengers who visited India in the last 14 days will also not be allowed to board from any other country to the UAE.

UK
The&nbspUK recently included India in its travel red list imposing a ban on entry for all except British or Irish residents. The travel ban on India will be included in the list from 4 am local time on April 23. 

France
France is all set to impose new restrictions on travellers entering from India. The French government has enforced a mandatory 10-day quarantine for travellers arriving from India.

Singapore
Singapore has announced that people flying from India will have to serve a 21day Stay-at-Home Notice at a designated facility due to the emergence of a new virus strain in the country.

Hong Kong
The Hong Kong government activated an &ldquoemergency circuit breaker,&rdquo banning passenger flights from India for 14 days from April 20.

Oman
Oman has anounced a complete ban on travellers coming from India from April 24 including those who have entered the country in the last two weeks.

Pakistan 
Our neighbouring country has also imposed a ban on travellers arriving from India for two weeks from April 19.

Bangladesh 
Bangladesh has also closed its borders with India for the next two weeks. 

Thailand
One of the most visited destinations by Indians, Thailand has also put a ban on travellers from India. The Thai embassy in India has suspended certificates of entry for non-Thai nationals travelling from India. 

Iran
The Health Ministry of Iran has also decided to ban all flights to and from India. 

Australia
Following in the footsteps of several nations who have banned air travel from India, Australia, too, suspended all direct passenger flights to the country. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced the decision on Tuesday, April 27, adding that the ban will be reassessed on May 15. 

Czech Republic
The Czech Republic has also added India to its list of countries that pose a great risk of the spread of the new variant of the deadly virus.

Spain
An all-time favourite of Indian travellers, Spain has not put a ban on travellers from India but a 10-day quarantine is mandatory.

Belgium
Hoping that the measure would be &ldquovery temporary&rdquo, Belgium has also banned travel from India along with Brazil and South Africa and other countries hugely hit by the new variants of the virus.

Netherlands
All flights to and from India will remain suspended till May 1 in the Netherlands.

Malaysia
The Transport Ministry of Malaysia has halted the entry of Indian nationals. The country is also implementing stringent controls for ships arriving from India at its ports.

Malawi
Malawi&rsquos Minister of Health, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda has also announced a ban on travellers from India with an aim to guard the country against the threat of the coronavirus&rsquo new variant.

Nigeria
Boss Mustapha, chairman of Nigeria&rsquos presidential steering committee on COVID-19 has said in a statement that the country will ban travellers coming from India from May 4.

Israel
Israel too has temporarily banned its citizens from travelling to India and six other countries due to the surging number of virus cases in these countries.

Taiwan
As more and more countries continue to report cases of the new variant identified in the Indian subcontinent, Taiwan is the latest to join other countries in putting a ban on travellers from India.

Philippines
Philippines, which is known for its strong bilateral ties with India, has also banned travellers from India. Anyone who has travelled to India in the last 14 days before his or her arrival in Philippines will not be allowed entry in the country.

Cambodia
As the number of new coronavirus cases continue to surge in both India and Cambodia, travellers from India have been banned by the Cambodian government.

Sri Lanka
India's friendly neighbour Sri Lanka has also announced that it is banning all arrivals from India with immediate effect. Till now, Sri Lanka was serving as a transit hub for travellers from India, who were headed to West Asian countries and Singapore.
