The Sri Karpagar Vinayagar Temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This temple features a unique statue of Karpaga Vinayagar which is carved from a single block of granite, sourced from Pillayarpathi in South India. It stands 5.1 feet tall and is specifically designed to fit the dimensions of the temple. The image depicts Ganesha with two arms and a trunk that curves to his right in the Valampuri form. In his right hand, he holds a Shivalingga, while his left hand rests on his belly as he sits in a meditative position. The history of the Tamil Methodist Church in Kuala Lumpur dates back to 1899 when a brick church building was constructed on Malacca Street, with support from the English congregation.
