Legends, myths, and folklore have spun around Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. The richness of culture and heritage is captured in personal experiences, stories, and vignettes, such as the old-fashioned educational institutions, the delectable caramel stickjaws, and the many Doon stories that have been written. For instance, Ruskin Bond's omnipresent narrative about life in the valley, whose Night Train at Deoli and Other Stories and The Room on the Roof have painted a picture of magical adventures in these hills. If you are taking your kids on a holiday to Dehradun, here are some fun and interesting places to see and activities to do.
