Vienna House Is Coming To India, With Its First Hotel Planned For Vrindavan

Adding to that momentum, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is set to bring its European lifestyle brand Vienna House to India for the first time, with a new hotel planned for Vrindavan.

Wyndham has signed a deal for the 100-key Vienna House Easy Vrindavan, a four-star lifestyle hotel expected to open in 2029. The property is being developed by entrepreneurs Sachin Kumar, owner and operator of Kumar Beverages Industries, and Nardev Chaudhary. It will mark the debut of the Vienna House brand in the Indian market as Wyndham expands its portfolio to meet changing expectations among domestic and international travellers.

A New Lifestyle Address

Part of the wider Vienna House family, Vienna House Easy is positioned around relaxed, accessible hospitality, European-inspired design and experiences shaped by the destination. In Vrindavan, that approach is expected to take cues from the city's cultural and spiritual identity rather than simply replicate a standard international hotel format.

The upcoming property will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a rooftop infinity pool with a poolside terrace and banquet facilities. Food will be another focus, with a curated vegetarian dining offering inspired by local traditions. The hotel is also expected to cater to travellers who want contemporary comforts while remaining close to Vrindavan's major religious and cultural landmarks.

Its location will place guests within convenient reach of the Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON Vrindavan. The property will also be accessible from Mathura Junction, while Agra and Delhi provide broader road and air connections for visitors travelling to the region.

Vrindavan's Growing Appeal

The new signing comes at a time when Vrindavan is emerging as a significant hospitality market. The destination attracts millions of visitors each year, with its temples, festivals, and association with Krishna drawing pilgrims as well as travellers interested in India's cultural heritage.

The wider shift in Indian travel is also influencing what guests expect from hotels. International travel remains an important part of this picture. Switzerland, Italy, and France accounted for more than half of Indian outbound travel demand to Europe in 2025, reflecting the continued appeal of European destinations and their hospitality experiences. For Wyndham, the move is part of a broader push to grow its presence in India through brands that cater to different segments of the market. The Vienna House Easy Vrindavan signing also adds another international brand to Wyndham's India strategy, where the company is working with local owners to expand its footprint. The group has approximately 8,400 hotels across around 100 countries and six continents, with more than 873,000 franchised and affiliated rooms worldwide.

Its Wyndham Rewards programme has more than 126 million enrolled members globally, giving new properties access to an established international customer base and distribution network. For Vienna House Easy, the Vrindavan project could therefore serve as an early step towards establishing the brand in a market where travellers are increasingly looking for hotels that offer more than a convenient room.
