As a matter of fact, the manga industry reached USD 24.8 billion globally in 2021 and has also led to the growth of sister industries like streaming services, merchandise, and video games. Midland Book Shop
Founded by Mirza Yaseen Baig in the late 1970s, this famous shop is located in the Hauz Khas area, South Delhi. It is the ultimate destination for all "otaku"&ndashpeople interested in manga and anime&ndashout there. The family-run bookstore boasts more than 250 manga titles and accommodating staff who will help you navigate the titles.

This family-run bookstore has been catering to the academic needs of Delhiites since 1953, the year it was established. Though the store offers a limited range of manga, the peaceful environment and the hospitality of the employees are a few things that make you feel at home.

Om Book Shop
Located in the plush DLF Promenade Mall, the Om Book Shop offers around 100-150 manga titles. And if you want any others, just let the staff know, and they will arrange them for you in a few days. Apart from the manga, the bookstore offers hundreds of other books of different genres, including fiction, non-fiction, thriller, etc.

The Japan Foundation
Though technically not a bookstore, the library of Japan Foundation, which works to create and enhance Japanese-language education environments worldwide, is home to roughly 2,500 manga. Open to the public between Tuesday and Saturday, you can visit the library, get a membership (for INR 300/year only), and read the manga of your choice while sitting there. You can also get the comic issued for up to 14 days to take it home. The library also has an extensive DVD collection that anime lovers can avail. You can use the reading room or manga corner by one-day prior appointment for a seat/slot.
