Brașov is a Romanian city that will charm you with its medieval Saxon walls, Gothic-style Black Church, castles and cosy cafés. Although the city may not be as popular as major European ones like London or Paris, it still manages to attract thousands of tourists every year. I was there for a few days and was completely mesmerised by its beauty. From bar-hopping to sightseeing, I ensured I left nothing behind in exploring Brașov, which is surrounded by the marvellous Carpathian Mountains. The city's rich history, stunning architecture and amazing natural surroundings truly make it a hidden gem in Europe. I’m sharing some of my favourite images of the city with the hope they inspire you to take a trip.
