SkyDome To Open In Jaipur With 360-Degree Immersive Event Space

Jaipur is set to get a new venue for large-scale weddings, concerts, corporate events and immersive experiences, with SkyDome scheduled to open towards the end of October. Located in Kukas, next to ITC Mementos, the permanent event dome has been founded by Sachin Mutreja, Sumit Chandhoke and Sonalika Sengupta, bringing together their combined experience across marketing, events, hospitality and experiential platforms.

Designed to go beyond the traditional event venue, SkyDome combines its architecture with immersive technology and production capabilities. The space will accommodate more than 5,000 guests and can be adapted for destination weddings, conferences, concerts, exhibitions, brand launches and cultural performances.

A 30,000-Sq-Ft Immersive Space

At the centre of SkyDome is a 60-metre-diameter, 21-metre-high dome with approximately 30,000 sq ft of indoor event space. The structure has been designed to work as more than a conventional hall, with its walls and surrounding surfaces forming part of the event experience.

Its main feature is a 360-degree projection environment powered by 17 Christie 50,000-lumen laser projectors. This allows organisers to create different visual environments inside the dome, depending on the event.

The space can be adapted for themed celebrations, live productions, corporate events and brand experiences, giving planners the flexibility to change the look and feel of the venue rather than working around a fixed stage or screen.

Designed For Weddings, Concerts And More

SkyDome is located in Jaipur’s Kukas hospitality corridor, an area closely associated with luxury hotels and destination weddings. The venue is expected to cater to both Indian and international events.

For weddings, the large indoor space and immersive projections can be used to create customised settings for different parts of a celebration. For brands and event agencies, the dome can also function as a large visual canvas for launches, installations and live productions.

The venue will also combine indoor and outdoor infrastructure, allowing it to accommodate different event formats and guest requirements.

A New Category Of Event Infrastructure

According to Sachin Mutreja, Director, SkyDome is intended to address the growing demand for more experiential event formats in India.

“India’s live-events sector is expanding rapidly,” Mutreja said, pointing to the FICCI-EY report, which projects the organised live-events market to reach INR 196 billion by 2028.

Sumit Chandhoke, also a Director at SkyDome, said the venue is designed to allow organisers to use the surrounding environment itself as part of an event. “Instead of designing an event around a fixed stage or screen, the dome allows organisers to transform the surrounding environment itself,” he said.

Adding To Jaipur’s Destination Event Offering

Jaipur has long been a popular destination for weddings and large celebrations, supported by its luxury hotels, heritage properties and connectivity to major Indian cities. SkyDome is looking to add another option for events that require a larger, technology-led setting.

Sonalika Sengupta, Director, SkyDome, said the venue is designed to expand what Jaipur can host, from large-format weddings and live entertainment to corporate and brand-led experiences.

Once it opens in October, the venue will add a new large-format event space to Jaipur’s growing hospitality and destination celebrations ecosystem.
