Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 List Revealed; 9 Indian Restaurants Make It To Top 100
Two Indian restaurants have been recognised among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2025. The rankings were unveiled at a glamorous ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
The Masque in Mumbai was ranked 19th while Indian Accent in New Delhi came in at 46th place. The top spot was awarded to Gaggan in Bangkok, Thailand, with The Chairman, and Wing Restaurant (both in Hong Kong) rounding out the top three.
The list—part of the global “World’s 50 Best” brand—is compiled by the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy. It is made up of more than 300 food critics, writers, chefs, and restaurateurs, all selected for their knowledge of Asia’s restaurant scene.
Indian Restaurants On The Asia's 50 Best Restaurants Extended List
Earlier in the month, the extended list of best restaurants ranked from 51 to 100 was released with seven Indian establishments featuring on it. These were Naar in Kasauli (66th), which serves up Himalayan cuisine; Farmlore in Bengaluru (68th), who are rooted in ethical farming principles and organic practices; Americano in Mumbai (71st), which serves quality pizzas and pastas; Inja in New Delhi (87th), an Indian-Japanese fusion restaurant; The Table in Mumbai (88th), that presents an eclectic and extensive selection of global food; Dum Pukht in New Delhi (89th), that epitomises Awadhi, Bengali and Hyderabadi royal cuisine; and The Bombay Canteen in Mumbai (91st), that reimagines traditional recipes with seasonal ingredients using modern techniques.

The Masque In Mumbai
This restaurant has emerged as a true culinary powerhouse as it has been named the best restaurant in India for the third year running. According to an official statement from "World’s 50 Best," it’s raison d’être is to show off the wealth of India’s produce, extracting maximum flavour from local ingredients in a 15-course tasting menu that is served in a stylish former Mumbai textile mill. The dining venue was opened by self-taught cook and entrepreneur Aditi Dugar with Head Chef Varun Totlani helming the kitchen.
Indian Accent In New Delhi
Also named in the 2024 list of Asia’s 50 Best is Indian Accent, which is helmed by executive chef Shantanu Mehrotra and restaurateur Rohit Khattar. According to an official statement, it has never failed to impress with its winning combination of creative, modern dishes, and warm hospitality. “Season after season, year after year, the restaurant’s inventive tasting menus have played judiciously with the country’s palate to craft unique takes on the classics of the Indian subcontinent,” the statement added. The six-course chef's tasting menu here is paired with a selection of wines from India and across the world.
