Investors have recently signed various agreements for significant investments in the hospitality sector in Ayodhya, as the upcoming Ram Temple is expected to provide immense potential for religious tourism. According to official sources, many well-known hotel brands are establishing their branches in Ayodhya. Currently, around 50 major hotel construction projects are underway in the city.

Ayodhya is becoming a popular destination in the hotel industry with several small hotels, resorts, and homestays investing in the region. The attraction of Ayodhya is enhanced by its good highways and roads, wall paintings depicting the life of Lord Ram, facade lighting, and a grand entrance decorated with Victorian lamps. During the Global Investment Summit, 102 intent agreements worth approximately Rs 18,000 crore were signed for tourism in Ayodhya, as reported by Divisional Commissioner of Ayodhya, Gaurav Dayal. Even after the summit, many entrepreneurs have submitted their proposals to the government and district administration for investment in the tourism sector in Ayodhya. At present, there are 126 projects related to tourism in Ayodhya that are ready to be implemented

Hotels Eye The Destination

There are 126 projects in Ayodhya, out of which 46 have signed MOUs, while 80 are not MOU-related. The total cost of these projects is around Rs 4,000 crore. According to Dayal, around 50 renowned hotels have invested in Ayodhya for large-scale projects, and their construction is underway. These hotels include Taj, Marriott, Ginger, Oberoi, Trident, and Radisson. They will be operational soon.

There are plans to develop the 'Raja Ki Building' into a heritage hotel, and a major hotel chain has expressed interest in investing in this project. Additionally, a significant number of small and large hotels are likely to commence operations in and around the Ayodhya region. These hotels will provide accommodation to a large number of devotees and tourists visiting Ayodhya.

Approximately Rs 420 crore will be invested in Ayodhya through four large projects in the hotel industry. The first project is Panche Dreamworld LLP, which will establish the 'O Rama Hotels and Resorts' at a total cost of Rs 140 crore. Innovators Digital Ads Pvt Ltd will build the Solitaire Ayodhya 5 Star hotel for Rs 100 crore. Evergreen Infrastructure will establish the Shri Ramya Hotel with an investment of Rs 90 crore. Samruddhi Swastik Trading and Investment will set up the 'Vishranti Grah' with an investment of Rs 86 crore, according to officials.
