G20: Air India And Vistara Offer One-Time Waiver On Tickets

Due to travel limitations in Delhi during the G20 Summit, Air India and Vistara are granting a one-time waiver of applicable charges for travellers who need to reschedule their travel date or flight

In light of the approaching G20 conference in the national capital, Air India and Vistara have announced that they are issuing waivers to help travellers. If passengers holding tickets from September 7 to 11 want to reschedule the day of travel or the flight, Air India has said that they will provide a one-time waiver on applicable charges. This was announced by the airline on X (previously Twitter) on Tuesday, September 5.

"There will be travel restrictions in Delhi between 7th and 11th September 2023. As a measure of goodwill, passengers holding confirmed ticket to fly to or from Delhi on these dates are being offered a one-time waiver of applicable charges, if they wish to change their date of travel or their flight. Only the fare difference for the rescheduled flight, if any, would be applicable," the airline said in a post on X.

Vistara too issued a statement that said that due to the elaborate regulations on vehicular restrictions by the Delhi Traffic Police, in view of the G20 Summit, they have made some adjustments to flight operations to and from Delhi. "We have cancelled selected flights while some others have been rescheduled," said a post on X.

"All Vistara customers scheduled to travel between September 8 to 11, 2023 are requested to kindly check the Vistara website for their flight status in advance to avoid any inconvenience. We are also offering a waiver of the change fee for one-time rescheduling for bookings on the aforementioned dates. We are also assisting the impacted customers with rescheduling or refunds, as applicable. We have cancelled selected flights while some others have been rescheduled."
