This August, The Nautilus Maldives welcomes back a transformative experience at the intersection of luxury and wellness. From August 11 to 18, 2025, the exclusive island retreat will once again play host to the globally renowned practitioners from Ananda In The Himalayas—one of the world’s most acclaimed holistic wellness sanctuaries—for a week-long residency titled “Holistic Healing for Balancing Energies.”
This year’s residency brings the healing philosophies of Ayurveda and energy work, delivered through Ananda’s signature therapies and the hands of two gifted practitioners: Sunita Kumari and Sandarbh.
Sunita, a senior trainer at Ananda with over nine years of international experience, is known for her intuitive approach. Her treatments, crafted with care and precision, focus on enhancing circulation, revitalising the body, and building resilience from within. She specialises in bespoke programmes that blend ancient wisdom with solutions for modern-day stresses.
Complementing her is Sandarbh, whose calm presence and personalised healing style gently guide the body back into its natural rhythm. His therapies foster deep release, emotional balance, and lasting peace—ideal for anyone seeking a moment of quiet introspection and rejuvenation.
Throughout the week, guests will experience a curated selection of Ananda’s most revered treatments, including the Manipura and Kundalini Back Massage—therapies that are designed to unlock blocked energy and activate the body’s inner fire. The Tibetan Ku Nye Massage offers a deeply harmonising experience using traditional techniques, while the Ananda Moksha ritual helps release stagnant energy, inspired by liberation and the unimpeded flow of prana ("life force").
As part of the retreat, every guest receives a complimentary follow-up consultation with an Ayurvedic physician from Ananda, ensuring that the experience continues to support wellbeing long after departure. For those interested in the connection between food and healing, Ananda’s Ayurvedic cuisine will also be available on the island, served anytime and anywhere—a reminder that wellness can be woven into everyday life.
At The Nautilus, wellness is never confined to the walls of a spa. The retreat flows into every aspect of island living. Whether you rise with sunrise yoga, float in the lagoon under the stars, or simply do nothing, the freedom to be, and heal, is central to the experience.
Set within the beauty of Baa Atoll’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, The Nautilus is no ordinary island escape. With just 26 private beach and ocean houses, it promises freedom and space in design and spirit. Guests are invited to embark on a personal journey of realignment, restoration, and inner renewal.
Interiors reflect this openness: boho-chic design meets barefoot luxury, creating spaces that soothe the senses. Moments of stillness are encouraged, whether at the Solasta Spa, beside the infinity pool, or within your private residence, where the gentle rhythm of the waves sets the pace for deep rest.
