This glorious stretch is located approximately a seven-hour drive away from Bangalore, in the coastal city of Mangalore. While it is still popular among road trippers, with many families flanking the shore to catch a stunning sunset, the beach is clean and fairly less populated than Mangalore's popular Panambur beach. If you enjoy water sports, the waves at this beach are ideal for surfing.

The spot is surrounded by facilities such as parking lots and a few eateries. And more interestingly, just a few miles ahead is the Tannirbhavi Tree Park, where you can stroll while exploring the many species of plants particular to the Western Ghats.

But if you wish to spend more time basking in the sun on the shore, head towards the north of Malpe Beach to another secluded spot at Padukere Beach. You can get your adrenaline rush at both beaches by enjoying a banana boat ride or parasailing.

The never-ending shoreline shines its best during the golden hour. And adding to the experience is the fresh seafood preparations sold by local joints sparsely dotting the beach. While here, you can also participate in water sporting activities, such as surfing, or even swim in its calm waters. If you wish to explore other beaches around, head to Devbagh Beach, the rocky Binaga Beach, the black sand Tilmati Beach, and the more active Majali or Alligaddha Beach. Just ahead of Goa, this place offers a quiet privacy.
