The show, released in 2016 and now six seasons old, has been popular among those who love a solid dose of historical fiction, so much so that many have even planned their holidays around locations where the episodes were shot. And there are even numbers to prove it—a report co-published by Netflix and Skyscanner presents whopping figures to show how big of an influence the show has had on travel trends, with a 21 per cent increase in global flight searches to London the very day season 3 and 4 launched. In addition, among the 15,000 travellers surveyed, 25 per cent wished to visit London in 2024.

The first half of season six follows Dodi and Diana's relationship, which invited a lot of media attention back in the day, with images from their "low-key" vacation in St Tropez spread all over the tabloid. However, when it came to adopting it on screen, the makers decided to swap St Tropez for Mallorca in Spain, specifically the uber-luxurious La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel where you can check in. Meanwhile, other nearby Spanish towns served as a fitting backdrop for recreating Diana's holiday with the boys, Harry and William, including Puerto Andratx, Palma, Formentor, San Telmo, and Soller. Here, you can recreate Diana's iconic image on the yacht and even indulge in exciting water sports.
Getting there: You can take a direct flight from larger cities in Spain, like Madrid, Barcelona, and Valencia, which can take 1–1.5 hours. Another option is to take a ferry from Valencia, which takes almost 8 hours to reach.
The second half of season six, released in early December, features the young romance between Kate and William, which unfolded during their undergraduate years at St Andrews University in Scotland. Located in St Andrews, a quaint college town, the university's rich history dating to 1413 is apparent in its castle-like campus. Therefore, if you are a fan and are holidaying in Scotland, pin this down as one of the must-visits. Also, after touring the campus, grab a bevvy at the neighbourhood pub, Molly Malone, where Kate and William hung out as students, in real life and in the show. The next location you must check off on your Crown-themed itinerary while in Scotland is the 19th-century hunting lodge, Ardverikie House near Inverness, which doubled up as the royal family's private summer retreat, Balmoral Castle, located near Macduff in Aberdeenshire.

Now, London is sure to be packed with many places you must check out when on a Crown-themed travel trail, with the hero being Buckingham Palace, which has only been shown from the outside. However, you can still tour the official royal residence, as shown in the show, by visiting the 19th-century Lancaster House. Another great spot is the London Coliseum Theatre, which was featured in season five as Dominion Theatre. Here, you can enjoy an evening watching a ballet performance, an opera, or the 1995 Royal Variety Show.
If you want to check out a place from the latest season of Crown, carve out a few hours for a tour of Dartmouth House on Mayfair's Charles Street, which was portrayed as Hotel Ritz, where Dodi and Diana's relationship culminates. Another significant plotline in Crown's season five and six has been the relationship between Charles and Camilla. One of the main scenes happens to be their wedding, which takes place in the last season.
