In Pictures: 25 Years Of India Through Outlook Traveller’s Photographs

A journey through India’s lived landscapes, where memory gathers in rivers, roads, rituals and faces

Travel in India is less a passage than an unfolding of ritual, labour, memory and spectacle. Across these images, what remains constant are the people who animate these landscapes: fishermen at dawn, pilgrims on ancient routes, boys racing boats. Over 25 years, Outlook Traveller’s photographers have documented fleeting human moments across the country’s varied terrains. These photographs form a memory trail between the India of the past and the present, lingering not on postcard-perfection but on the quiet, ephemeral beauty of everyday life.
