Another weekend is here but the buzz of activities in Mumbai is just as loud. Whether it’s a spellbinding play based on historical events, a wine festival or a midnight cycle ride, there are plenty of events to keep you busy in the “Maximum City.” Soon, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the sights with a brand new Ferris wheel modelled on the London Eye. But till that wheels start to roll for the new attraction, keep yourself busy with the top things to do in Mumbai from February 15-16, 2025.
Inspired by a volatile Marathi play of the same name, which ran to packed houses for 25 years, and based on the book “May it Please Your Honour” by Gopal Godse, “Nathuram Godse Must Die” is a factual revelation of a tragic chapter in India's political history which was censored and hidden for decades. With actual references from court records and other authentic documents, the production puts forward an impartial balance of opposing points of view. Adapted and directed by Bharat Dabholkar, the play does not take sides or condone illegal acts, but at the same time gives expression to a voice that was silenced. Performed by accomplished actors from Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati and English theatres, this is a must-see for people of all ages.
