For four decades, the forests of Indravati have remained largely beyond the reach of tourists. From November 1 2026, that is set to change. Chhattisgarh’s Indravati Tiger Reserve in Bijapur district will reopen for organised wildlife tourism, offering visitors access to a vast forest landscape that has remained largely inaccessible since the reserve came under Project Tiger in 1983.
