For devotees of Neeb Karori Baba, the journey is as much about the places connected to his life as it is about the spiritual significance attached to them. Now, Uttar Pradesh Tourism is bringing several of these locations together through a new spiritual tourism circuit, with fresh infrastructure and dedicated tour packages designed to make the journey easier for visitors from India and abroad.

Announced around Mahasamadhi Diwas, which commemorates the saint’s passing in 1973, the new ‘Neeb Karori Baba Circuit’ links four important destinations across Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring regions: the Samadhi Temple in Vrindavan, Akbarpur village in Firozabad, Neeb Karori Baba Ashram Dham Temple in Farrukhabad and Hanuman Setu Mandir in Lucknow. The initiative is backed by around INR 12.93 crore in tourism development projects across Firozabad and Farrukhabad.

Tracing Baba’s Journey

The circuit offers travellers a way to follow different chapters of Neeb Karori Baba’s life. Vrindavan is home to his samadhi, while Akbarpur in Firozabad is recognised as his birthplace. In Farrukhabad, the Neeb Karori Baba Ashram Dham Temple is associated with the period he is believed to have spent in an underground cave for 12 years. The trail concludes in Lucknow at Hanuman Setu Mandir, one of the city’s prominent temples.

The tourism push is also changing what visitors can expect at these sites. At Akbarpur, development worth INR 8.65 crore has already been undertaken, with a second phase costing INR 2.22 crore now more than 60 per cent complete and scheduled for completion by December 2026. The site will include a multipurpose hall, cultural block, exhibition space detailing Baba’s life and spiritual journey, dining hall, 50-seater cafeteria, kitchen, toilets and dormitories for around 60 visitors.

A separate rural tourism project worth INR 55.44 lakh is also set to begin in Akbarpur. It will add an entrance gate, signage, mural walls and other visitor facilities, giving the birthplace a more structured tourism experience.

New Stops, Better Access

In Farrukhabad, INR 1.51 crore has gone towards developing the Neeb Karori Ashram. The work, which is complete, includes a traveller’s residence, main gate and public-use facilities. Together with the projects at Akbarpur, the investment is intended to create a more connected experience rather than leaving visitors to navigate individual sites independently.

The move comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to broaden its spiritual tourism offering beyond its better-known pilgrimage centres. Neeb Karori Baba’s influence has also reached far beyond the state, attracting devotees and followers from different parts of India and around the world.

For Delhi-based travellers, UPSTDC has introduced three dedicated packages covering two- and three-day itineraries, with the exact departures based on tourist demand. The routes include Mathura and Vrindavan, Agra and Firozabad, combining sites associated with Baba with other significant destinations in the region.

Packages From Delhi

The Delhi itineraries include a visit to Neeb Karori Baba’s Samadhi Sthal in Vrindavan, along with Bateshwar Dham and Rapdi Eco-Tourism Park. Travellers can also visit Akbarpur village, where Baba was born, making the packages particularly relevant for devotees looking to explore his story beyond a single temple or ashram.

UPSTDC has also introduced dedicated two-, three- and five-day ‘Baba Neeb Karori’ packages departing from Lucknow, with services from Delhi available depending on demand. The aim is to turn a collection of spiritually significant locations into a defined travel route, while improving the facilities available along the way.

Tourists seeking information about the packages can contact UPSTDC at +91 91490 99890 or visit upstdc.co.in. With the new circuit, Uttar Pradesh is positioning Neeb Karori Baba’s birthplace, ashram and samadhi within a wider spiritual travel itinerary, offering devotees a more structured way to explore the places associated with his life and legacy.
