Singapore Garden Festival 2026 Returns To Gardens By The Bay For Its 10th Edition

Imagine walking through a maze of mirrored flowers, posing atop an eight-metre-high floral rollercoaster, or being surrounded by glow-in-the-dark flowers as night descends. What’s New At The Singapore Garden Festival 2026

One of the festival’s prime attractions is an eight-metre-high floral rollercoaster, a larger-than-life installation packed with tropical blooms. It doubles as one of the event’s most picture-worthy photo spots. Another highlight is the Swirling Floral Vortex, featuring a 14-metre Floral Infinity Mirror experience, where mirrors and lush greenery create the illusion of an endless botanical world.

As the sun goes down, the Known by Flowers installation comes to life with its interactive light installation by acclaimed Chinese landscape designer Hu Shiyang. The installation illuminates the festival grounds, transforming them after sunset.

The festival also debuts new themed gardens, each celebrating a different aspect of the natural world. You can wander through Nature's Carousel Play Garden, awaken your senses at Forest of Sweet Delights, bask in Sunkissed: A Celebration of Sunflowers, or explore the landscapes of the Silver Garden.

Inside The Flower Dome

A visit to the Singapore Garden Festival is incomplete without stepping inside the Flower Dome. This year, it is Orchid Extravaganza: Rhythm of the Rainforest. This houses more than 7,000 orchids and is inspired by Indonesian biodiversity and cultural traditions. You can also find towering recreations of Indonesian architecture, woven artwork and traditional motifs that celebrate the country’s rich heritage. It creates a blend of history, horticulture, and immersive storytelling, making it a key highlight of the festival.

World-Class Garden Design Steals The Spotlight

Beyond the dazzling displays, the Singapore Garden Festival remains one of the leading platforms for landscape and floral design.

The Show Gardens competition celebrates the festival's 10th edition by bringing back eight former "Best of Show" winners from around the world. They will compete against each other for the prestigious Pinnacle Award. The award is given on the basis of horticultural excellence, planting design, innovation and sustainability.

The Floral Windows to the World Championship also returns with 17 international floral artists. They will be competing across six live rounds that emphasise technical skills, innovation and artistic expression.

Among the festival’s newest additions is the My Living Space Competition. The challenge is to imagine innovative residential garden concepts. Vertical plant walls and indoor sanctuaries are the new markers of luxury and well-being. Visitors can also engage in the Landscape Design Challenge, the 14th International FDSS Cup Floral Designing Competition, and the Penjing and Artistic Stone Exhibition and Competition.

Just A Lover Of Gardens? This Festival Is for You Too

The bustling Planters Market brings together a wide range of nurseries, growers and specialist vendors selling plants, gardening accessories, and botanical collectables. There is also a range of workshops to learn from some of the best horticultural experts in the world.

The Singapore Orchid Show showcases award-winning orchids from across the region, while the Singapore Gardeners' Cup celebrates community gardening by pairing local gardeners with landscape professionals to create elaborate carnival-inspired displays. There is also the Community Garden Edibles Competition that features more than 440 fruits and vegetables grown by local gardeners.

A Festival With A Long History

Although the Singapore Garden Festival started in 2006, it traces its roots to the country's flower show tradition dating back to 1861. This year, therefore, marks 165 years of that legacy. There is a special exhibition at the festival as well as a commemorative book chronicling Singapore’s rich gardening and floral heritage.
