Dubai has implemented revisions to its visit visa requirements, mandating that travellers carry Dh3,000, a confirmed return ticket, and evidence of accommodation prior to boarding a flight.

According to reports in local media outlets, the new rules are being implemented due to tightened inspections and checks at UAE airports aimed at curbing job seekers arriving on visiting visas. Non-compliance has resulted in several Indians being denied boarding or left stranded at the airport. Authorities are ensuring strict entry guidelines are followed. Firoz Maliyakkal, founder and CEO of Tahira Tours and Travels said in a report by Khaleej Times: “People travelling to Dubai must have a valid visa with a passport having validity of at least six months. One must carry a confirmed return ticket. These are checks that are being done earlier.”

Go Through The Rules

For travellers visiting the UAE, officials have implemented strict procedures. To enter the country, you need a valid visa and a passport that's valid for at least six months. Additionally, you must have a confirmed return ticket and enough money for your stay in Dubai. The required amount is 3,000 dirhams, which can be in cash, by credit card, or its equivalent in any other currency. That's roughly 67,903.86 in Indian rupees at the current conversion rate. All travellers must also provide a valid proof of their residence address in the UAE, whether it's the home of a relative or friend, or a reservation in a hotel.

A New Visa

In February 2024, the United Arab Emirates announced an exciting update for frequent visitors to the country. They introduced a new tourist visa that is valid for five years and allows for multiple entries. The main aim of this visa is to promote tourism and business relations, especially between India and Dubai.
