The National Street Food Festival is set to return to Delhi this December with what organisers say will be its most expansive edition yet. Now in its 15th year, the event will run from December 12 to 14, 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Gate No. 14, and is expected to draw large crowds following the strong response to last year’s festival.
The three-day festival aims to offer visitors a comprehensive experience that combines food, craft and performance. With its broadened artistic line-up and expanded programme, the event is positioning itself not just as a celebration of India’s street food traditions, but as a major cultural fixture in the capital’s annual calendar.
Alongside its extensive line-up of regional street food, cultural performances and artisanal displays, this year’s edition will place a heightened emphasis on live entertainment. The festival is expanding its cultural line-up with a notable roster of performers set to energise Delhi this December. Ranging from soulful vocals to rap, narrative performance and contemporary fusion, the programme is designed to create a dynamic atmosphere throughout the festival’s three-day run.
Organisers say the expanded line-up underscores their aim to deliver a memorable cultural experience alongside the festival’s extensive culinary offerings. Yohani will open the series on December 12, followed by Padma Shri awardee Kailash Kher and his band Kailasa on December 13. The final day will feature actor and storyteller Ashish Vidyarthi, alongside performances from MC Square and Khullar G.
Celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor will join the proceedings on December 13 at the 15th National Street Food Festival, adding further weight to an already prominent line-up. Visitors will experience his trademark focus on flavour and an engaging presence that has long made him a familiar figure in Indian culinary culture.
At the National Street Food Festival, the focus extends beyond flavours to the women whose skill and dedication sustain India’s vibrant food culture. Their work — rolling, frying, mixing and serving, while often supporting families and communities — is central to the country’s culinary landscape. These women are not only cooks; they are agents of change, shaping traditions and opportunities with every dish they prepare. The festival serves as a platform to recognise their resilience and celebrate the stories that have long powered street food across India. It is a tribute to the women who nourish a nation and inspire the generations that follow.
You can sample the flavours of countless states as the National Street Food Festival brings regional cuisines to the heart of Delhi. Goa arrives with its trademark coastal spice, coconut-rich curries and much-loved street favourites, offering a taste of the state’s fiery, soulful cooking. Rajasthan’s vibrant food heritage will also be on full display. Its bold, earthy and festive specialities — each carrying echoes of the state’s deserts, forts and long-held traditions — will be served by local vendors who bring their stories and flavours directly to the plate.
Non-vegetarian enthusiasts will find plenty to explore, with grills, kebabs, gravies and curries drawn from diverse culinary traditions across India. From smoky tandoors to celebrated regional staples, the festival offers a wide sweep of dishes designed for visitors to arrive hungry.
For vegetarians, the festival promises an abundant spread. Crisp chaats, comforting home-style dishes, regional classics and lesser-known treasures will be part of an extensive offering that includes more than 300 vegetarian dishes from 27 states and Union Territories, all gathered under one roof.
