The Statue of Unity is ready to welcome tourists from October 17, after a gap of over six months. It is dedicated to Sardar Vallahbha Patel, widely regarded as the 'Iron Man' of India for his ability to unite hundreds of princely states into one country.

Located at the shore of Narmada River, in the Kevadiya Colony of Gujarat, it is managed by the Sardar Ekta Trust.

The trust has released a detailed Standard of Procedure which includes a list of guidelines that will have to be followed by the tourists visiting the complex of the statue. Tickets will be available only on the website&nbspand will not be sold on the complex. A maximum of 1,500 tickets will be available per day.
