The Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival 2026 will bring two days of music, art and cultural celebrations to Meghalaya from November 20 to November 21, 2026. This year, the festival is moving to its new permanent home at the New Shillong Highland Grounds in Mahmawdkuk/Mawkhanu, around 30 minutes from central Shillong. Hornbill Festival, Nagaland

Held from December 1–10, 2026 at the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, near Kohima, the Hornbill Festival is one of Nagaland’s most celebrated cultural events. Held in Mizoram, The Anthurium Festival 2026 will take place at Reiek and Ailawng in Mizoram’s Mamit district, around 13–30 kilometres from Aizawl. Organised by the Mizoram Tourism Department and the Department of Horticulture, the festival celebrates the state’s anthurium flowers through colourful displays, plantation tours and local flower gardens. Visitors can also enjoy trekking, cave explorations, traditional Mizo music, folk dances, indigenous games, local cuisine, and handloom and handicraft exhibitions. Entry to the festival is free.

The music line-up features Mumbai-based DJ Avanie, Bengaluru-based electronic music project Zehen and Guwahati-based artist Naaz. Northeast hip-hop artists Reble and Kim will also perform, alongside popular Mizo singers and contemporary musicians at Leikapui Night.
