From a list of things to look up and plan that come to mind when we hear the word &lsquotravel&rsquo, the most important is the stay. We like hostels for obvious reasons&mdashthey are cheap and they are everywhere (well, almost).
These days, many young travelers are out to explore places far and offbeat, and sometimes finding a decent place to stay can be a difficult task, especially on a tight budget.
Independent hostels present in most cities and towns, no matter how remote, provide us budget travellers with a place to rest.
Here are five hostels we found and liked.
Bombay Backpackers in Mumbai, Maharashtra
The name gave it away, right Yes, a little haven for backpackers travelling to Mumbai, this hostel is great fun. The theme that they follow here is that of Mumbai&rsquos transportation modes&mdashautos, taxis, buses and trains. The stay will cost you around Rs500 per night and it includes a typical Mumbai breakfast. Bonus points for the funky artworks. The living space is a fun space where you can meet other travellers over a drink, a plate of food, or an interesting TV show.
