Dokra, or dhokra, is a traditional art form that is found in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh. The method of lost-wax metal casting is an ancient craft in India and dates back about 5,000 years. One of the earliest artefacts created by this method is the famous dancing girl of Mohenjo-Daro.
