It's a fact that civilisations started, flourished and even got wiped out right next to rivers. Rivers are life giving do we say this enough Or are we too busy polluting it So for our next interesting photo feature, we came up with the idea of highlighting some of India's best tourist attractions located right next to major rivers. From the busy ghats of Varanasi,  by the Ganges, to the bird-paradise we know as Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary right next to Mandovi River, we bring you eight popular tourist attractions near some of the most famous rivers in India.
