Shanghigh offers an indoor-only seating experience for over 200 people. The thoughtfully-designed interiors set the tone for an immersive dining journey. The 20-foot-ceiling of the sunroom, red and crimson hues complemented by touches of black, a hidden terrace, and life-sized China doll paintings remind of Shanghai’s historic speakeasies.

Food At Shanghigh

The restaurant serves comfort-oriented “retro Chinese cuisine." The meals here feel like a warm embrace of authentic flavours from old-world Shanghai, seamlessly intertwined with modern culinary innovation. Their dimsum options can make for a separate menu.

One must try their crystal chestnut and chives dumplings, and golden mix seafood dumplings. Their sushi maki rolls are a diners’ favourite. The Tokyo roll (hamachi with homemade raw mango relish) and crispy vegetable uramaki (tempura vegetables with dehydrated spinach) are to die for. Their menu also offers sashimi and sushi nigiri options.

If you are a ramen-enthusiast, their Korean ramen and stone bowl meals are must-tries. From the “mains” section of the menu, chicken black pepper, braised lamb chops tausi sauce (scallion and black bean sauce), and hunan tofu make for a hearty meal.

The desserts are authentic and unique. Try their honey crisp darsaan (a classic combination of crunchy noodles, roasted sesame seeds glazed with honey, and topped with vanilla ice cream.)

Another must-try dessert is their Chinese lemon egg tart, a thin tart served with silky baked egg custard.
