Currently, there are no direct flights from India to Bulgaria; however, you can find several indirect flights that include one or more layovers. Common layover cities include Istanbul, Dubai, and other major European hubs. The total travel time, including layovers, typically ranges from 10 to 20 hours. Visa Rules for Indians

Bulgaria has officially joined the Schengen Area (read all about it here), which means that land border checks between Bulgaria and other Schengen countries have been eliminated. As a result of Bulgaria's inclusion in the Schengen Area, the country can now issue Schengen visas to travellers, including Indians.

To apply for a Schengen visa, you can go through the Bulgarian embassy or a designated visa center, such as VFS Global. As the country is now a part of the Schengen region, the visa requirements for Bulgaria are the same as the rest of the area. You will need to provide several documents, including a valid passport, a completed application form, passport photos, proof of travel insurance, and other supporting documents.
