Miral, Abu Dhabi’s leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences, has announced the expansion of Yas Waterworld on Yas Island. The expansion will officially open to the public on July 1. This significant phase of development covers an area of 13,445 sq m and greatly enhances the park's world-class offerings. It introduces a "Lost City" theme, continuing the park's original story, "The Legend of the Lost Pearl."
Guests can look forward to more than 20 new thrilling rides, slides, and experiences, as well as a new dining option, ensuring a fun-filled day for visitors of all ages. With this expansion, Yas Waterworld now features over 60 rides, slides, and attractions, providing more aquatic adventures than ever before.

At the new phase of Yas Waterworld, families can enjoy a variety of exciting attractions. One of the highlights is Al Mafras, a twisting desert water slide designed for kids, featuring smooth turns, thrilling slopes, and a fun splash landing. Guests can also experience Red Dunes, a closed aqua tube slide that maximises excitement with its sharp twists and turns.
Visitors can also compete in the Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side duelling tube raft race, which includes high-speed drops and intense head-to-head action. The expanded water park also introduces Al Sahel Junior, the region’s first mini zero-gravity boomerang slide. This slide offers exhilarating drops, winding paths, and vertical zooms for a splashing adventure. Young thrill-seekers can also try Dawwama Junior, a scaled-down version of the park’s iconic tornado slide.
Another new addition to look forward to is the exciting twists and turns of Mataha Madness or dive into the whirlpool of excitement at Sadaf Swirl. For those seeking adrenaline, Bahamut’s Rage provides an exhilarating experience with dramatic drops on a thrilling log flume water ride. Little ones, as well as adults, will enjoy the interactive fun at Bandit’s Playground, a vibrant splash zone filled with surprises located within the new Bandit’s Village.
