Travellers Entering Kashmir by Road will be Tested for COVID-19

Hoteliers have been asked to keep rooms aside for isolation, in case any tourist tests positive

At a recent meeting held to review the coronavirus situation, Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Aijaz Asad said that all travellers entering Kashmir by road will have to undertake COVID-19 tests in Kulgam district.

He stated that tests for travellers reaching by road will be held in Lower Munda area in a couple of days. 
The deputy commissioner added that mass vaccination of houseboat staff, drivers, hotel staff, and others will soon begin across tourist destinations in the state.
A special training programme will also be conducted for all staff members to ensure that standard operating procedures are strictly followed while dealing with every tourist.
