Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils Much-Anticipated Norwegian Prima

The Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened bookings for the first of six ships within its Prima Class vessels. The Norwegian Prima is the first of six ships in ten years, with exciting voyage itineraries in summer 2022, wide-open spaces, stunning design, and with the added incentives of various new experiences and exceptional service.

It will be a game-changer for NCL as the vessel will be 965 feet long, 142,500 gross tons and can accommodate up to 3,215 on double occupancy.

The Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri built the show-stopping vessel at Marghera, Italy.

It is the first time for an NCL ship to feature a striking artwork on the hull designed by Italian graffiti artist Manuel Di Rita (aka. Peeta) that extends towards the forward superstructure of the vessel.

Italian designer Pioro Lissoni and powerhouse architectural firms Rockwell Group, SMC Design, Tillberg Design of Sweden, YSA Design and Miami- based Studio-Dado were among the world-class architects that conceptualised and composed the aesthetic of various restaurants, staterooms and public areas of Norwegian Prima.

Some of these beyond-expectation features of Norwegian Prima will include the highest staffing and space ratio of any new cruise in the new and premium cruise category. She will offer the widest variety of suite categories available at sea with 13 suite categories with the most oversized three-bedroom suites and the largest-ever inside, oceanview, and balcony staterooms largest-ever bathrooms and showers for standard types.

For the first time in Cruise Line, all 107 Haven suites of this ship have been relocated to the aft (the rear of the vessel) within proximity of private elevators exclusively reserved for Haven guests.  

The Haven Courtyard has been transformed into an expansive Haven Sundeck, boasting a gorgeous new infinity pool overlooking the ship&rsquos wake. Every public area in The Haven provides fantastic sea and scenic destination views.

NCL reimagined its industry pioneering by introducing Ocean Boulevard, located on deck eight. The Ocean Boulevard is around 44,000 square feet long wraps around the entire deck, allowing guests to walk around the whole ship and experience stunning ocean views while partaking in numerous outdoor activities.

NCL has also introduced the brand&rsquos first-ever premier open-air marketplace with Indulge Food Hall which offers visitors various menu items from multiple culinary venues and a mix of indoor and outdoor seating.

NCL&rsquos first-ever food hall was thoughtfully designed, offering various cuisines and showcasing captivating colours and smells with 11 venues including Coco&rsquos, Q Texas Smokehouse, Starbucks, Seaside Rotisserie, The Latin Quarter, Tamara, Garden Kitchen, Tapas Food Truck, Just Desserts and Just-Ice Cream.

Few of the upcoming bucket-list itineraries&rsquo destinations include Northern Europe and the UK in summer 2022, Bermuda and the Caribbean in fall/winter 2022, Western Caribbean in fall/winter 2022-23, Bermuda in spring 2023 and Northern Europe in spring/summer 2023.
