The Basilica of the Lady of the Mount, commonly known as Mount Mary, in Bandra is developing an exhibition centre to educate visitors about the rosary and other aspects of the Catholic faith. This new addition, named the Pranam Maria Exhibition Centre, is located across from the shrine and was inaugurated by Cardinal Oswald Gracias, the Archbishop of Bombay, in May.

Father Sunder Albuquerque, the vice-rector at the shrine, announced that the center is expected to open to the public in early October. The exhibition, themed 'Creation to Redemption,' will feature 30 scenes that offer visitors a 45-minute experience exploring the mystery of the rosary and the story of Jesus and Mary.

Albuquerque described the project as an "excellent production" and expressed confidence that it would meet international standards. The centre is currently undergoing final preparations, with tests being conducted to ensure everything runs smoothly. The management team is also being selected, as the operations require technical expertise due to the advanced use of lights, sound, and computer systems.

Mount Mary is a significant Christian pilgrimage site, and the shrine is particularly busy during its annual feast and the week-long Bandra Fair, which coincides with the Feast of the Nativity of Mary. This year, the fair is scheduled from September 8 to 15.
