The snow capped hills of Manali are calling all the backpackers to have the wildest experience to kick off the year.

Music, food, culture you name it, Manali will bestow the best to all its guests for the Winter Carnival 2019. One of the oldest carnivals of the country is set to seize everyone&rsquos interest for 8 days starting from January 2. Manali Winter Carnival witnesses a lot of domestic and international tourists every year who come to experience the rich Himachal culture and wander in the woods for adventure. The prime attractions of the event being Himachali food festival, folk dances, local band competitions and craft bazaar, no one can steer away from the glamorous Winter Queen contest. The auditions for the event are being conducted in some cities such as Shimla, Chandigarh and Mandi, providing the hype this carnival carries. All the prominent events of the festival would be conducted across 250m stretch along the Manali Mall.

If you feel like spending some quality time eating local food and exposing yourself to the rich Indian culture, then Manali is the place to be. The carnival was started in 1977 and since then the event has astounding increase in its fan base. Prior booking of the rooms is recommended due to the craze it has among the tourists. You can stay in tents, dorms or hotels and attend the carnival. Rave all day long to the music or go around the place shopping for souvenirs.
