Indias First Sky Cycling Park To Open In Kullu

A quick google search will tell you that there&rsquos no legit term for someone who loves heights. Maybe even google finds it hard to believe that there are a few lucky souls who are beyond this irrational fear. Well, if fear of heights is called acrophobia then maybe the love for heights should be called acrophile. Whatever the terminology may be, we call them downright lucky. And if you&rsquore someone who&rsquos looking for a similar adrenaline rush and are tired of the mainstream bungee jumping and skydiving, then we&rsquod suggest that you head to Kullu at the earliest.

Riding a bicycle on a rope suspended in mid air while enjoying the scenic landscape around is an experience of a lifetime. The Natural Park at Gulaba is offering all this and a lot more. India&rsquos first and so far the highest sky cycling park is all set open in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. In an attempt to promote tourism in the region, the forest department of Kullu in collaboration with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports has set up a sky cycling park in Gulaba. The park will be accessible to tourists from mid - September. Touted to be India&rsquos highest sky cycling park, the path is built at a height of 9000 ft and is 350 m long. 

With the new cycling path in place, tourists will be able to enjoy a 360 - degree view of Rohtang Pass, Pir Panjal range, Beas river and the Dhauladhar range. 

Developed inside &lsquoPratika Vatika&rsquo, an investment of 13 Lakhs has been made towards the project to provide tourists adventure sports activities at the Natural Park. To further boost eco tourism, the forest department intends to build more natural parks in the region so that tourists can spend quality time amidst nature. As per reports, Divisional Forest Officer Neeraj Chadda said that the local people will  be trained in providing these services to tourists, which will generate employment opportunities for the youth there.
