Taken together, these projects suggest that northern MMR is being planned as the next major growth corridor.

The upcoming Vadhavan Port alone is expected to generate nearly 10 lakh jobs across logistics, shipping and related industries. That could increase demand for housing, commercial spaces, retail developments and supporting infrastructure in nearby towns such as Vasai, Virar and Palghar.
