Eat healthy, or fly trying

Author : OT Staff

Air India&mdashyou either love it (like our editors do)&nbspor tolerate it. Either way, the name is bound to elicit strong reactions. And now we&rsquore adding one more thing to talk about. The food menu on the international Air India flights to the US is getting an overhaul. From packed fruit juices to aam&nbsppanna, buttermilk, or&nbspjal&nbspjeera, salad to curd rice, and a blanket no to fried foods, there is a complete 'healthy' change in Air India flights. Since fried foods are now going off the menu, there will be alternatives available such as&nbsppoha,&nbspupma, pav bhaji, cutlets, and more. The plain Jane bread rolls will get an upgrade to French croissants as well, as per reports. And lastly, the desserts may be provided by . popular Indian sweets seller, Haldirams--always a treat.

Most of the above changes are being made to add an Indian touch to the meals and make them healthier for passengers, as per reports. While most of the changes are for international flights, some of them are being doled out on domestic sector flights as well.

They will be effectively rolled out on international flights starting April 1, 2019.
