All hotel staff will be trained in safety protocolas such as using gloves and sanitisers, and in conducting rapid testing on tourists. There are plans to set up a dedicated COVID care centre in Manali for infected travellers.

The Hoteliers Association of Kullu-Manali has over 2,000 hotels and homestays under their umbrella. Reports say that a huge number of people associated with the hospitality sector have lost their livelihood due to the shutdown.
