Recently, the Tourism Department's report for the year 2023 unveiled an impressive milestone: over a million visitors were ferried, contributing significantly to an astounding revenue of Rs 108 crore.

Operated and managed diligently by the J&K Cable Car Corporation, the Gulmarg Gondola remains the shining beacon of Kashmir's tourism. Ascending to a staggering height of 14,000 feet, it proudly claims its status as India's most beloved ropeway, offering unparalleled panoramic views.

Embarking on the Gulmarg Cable Car journey is a two-phase adventure, encompassing a mesmerising ride from Gulmarg resort to Kongdori Valley and culminating in a breathtaking ascent to Apharwath Peak.

The past year witnessed a dedicated focus on elevating service quality. The Corporation's efforts were evident in the seamless improvements made to the ticketing system, meticulous safety tests conducted, and the infusion of cutting-edge technology into the second phase of the Gondola. These enhancements were pivotal in ensuring a safer, more efficient, and technologically advanced journey for every visitor.

In an earnest plea to tourists, Managing Director Raja Yaqoob emphasised the convenience and security of opting for online ticket purchases, advising against potential risks associated with unauthorised agents. Yaqoob's commitment extended beyond the present, assuring a continual pursuit of excellence in visitor experience. He stressed the importance of adhering to specified ticket timings, emphasising that this adherence ensures a hassle-free and memorable excursion.

Beyond the mechanical enhancements, the Corporation earnestly values visitor feedback, considering it a cornerstone for refining and amplifying customer service standards.
