With Holi approaching, Western Railways has announced the operation of additional trains to accommodate the expected heavy passenger traffic. This year, Holika Dahan will be celebrated on March 13, followed by Holi on March 14, with a weekend extending from March 15 to 16. Routes Of The Holi Special Trains

The Western Railway has announced the operation of several special trains, including superfast and unreserved services, on various schedules. These special trains will run on important routes such as:

  • Mumbai (BDTS) to Subedarganj

  • Mumbai (BDTS) to Laxmibai Jhansi

  • Udhna to Danapur

  • Udhna to Patna

  • Udhna to Mangaluru

  • Mumbai (BDTS) to Bikaner

  • Valsad to Kathgodam

  • Mumbai (MMCT) to Delhi

  • Kathiar to Kanpur Anwarganj

These services aim to enhance connectivity on these vital routes.

The special trains will begin operations on March 6, 2025, and will continue until April 26, 2025. The frequency of these trains will vary based on demand. Some trains will operate as one-time trips, while others will run multiple times throughout the festive period.

The Superfast Holi Special Trains will provide faster travel options for long-distance passengers, while the Unreserved Special Trains will accommodate those needing last-minute travel solutions.
