Starting January 1, 2025, the Israel Ministry of Tourism (IMOT) has rolled out a digital e-Visa system for Indian citizens, simplifying the visa application process and eliminating the need for physical paperwork. The e-Visa service is specifically available for individual tourists, while group visa applications will continue through the current channels. Myanmar has also rolled out an e-Visa option, simplifying the process for Indian tourists seeking to explore its cultural heritage. Similarly, Zambia and Azerbaijan have adopted digital visa systems, streamlining the application process for Indian nationals.
Thailand introduced an e-Visa for Indian citizens, allowing for a smooth online application process for both tourism and business purposes. Uganda also joined the growing list of e-Visa providers, offering Indian nationals a simplified process to visit its wildlife and natural wonders. In addition, Zimbabwe implemented an e-Visa for Indians, enabling easier travel to explore the country's rich history and scenic landscapes. Bahrain, a popular destination for both tourism and business, now offers e-Visas to Indian passport holders, further enhancing travel convenience. These countries are part of a broader trend of embracing digital visa solutions to boost tourism and strengthen international ties with India.
