Fans will be pleased to know that FIFA has announced the launch of FIFA PASS - the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System. This is for individuals who have purchased tickets for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ and plan to travel to the United States. It will help streamline appointment scheduling and travel-related processes for eligible ticket holders during the tournament period.

Faster Visa Access For World Cup Fans

The FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS) is a voluntary, opt-in initiative for FIFA World Cup 2026™ ticket holders who are travelling to the United States. The system lets eligible fans access visa interview appointments on a priority basis. Here's how it will work - existing ticket holders will be contacted by the FIFA ticket office in the coming days with details on FIFA PASS and how to opt in. Those who purchase tickets later will be offered the same option at the time of purchase.

The initiative is especially useful for ticketed football fans in countries where US visa interview wait times are currently lengthy. Supporters from countries included in the US Visa Waiver Programme (ESTA), or from nations where visa interview appointments are readily available, do not need to use FIFA PASS and can apply directly for a visa or ESTA through the FIFA World Cup 2026™ – United States Department of State channels.

A Tournament Across Three Countries

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the first tournament to feature 48 teams and will be hosted across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico and the United States. In total, 78 matches will be played in 11 US cities, with additional games held in three cities in Mexico and two in Canada.

It is being estimated that more than six million tickets will be available. The introduction of FIFA PASS is a key measure aimed at helping international fans plan their travel and attend the world’s biggest sporting event more easily.
