Darjeeling Homestays have Stopped Taking Bookings

Homestay owners in Darjeeling have announced that they will not be accepting any tourist bookings until further notice

Darjeeling is one of the most popular hill stations of India and draws tourists in the droves every year

Amid the massive surge of COVID-19 cases, homestay owners in Bengal's favourite hill station, Darjeeling, have announced that they will not be accepting any tourist bookings until further notice.

Owners of 80 registered Land Rovers from the Land Rover Owners&rsquo Welfare Association have also stated that they will only welcome tourists after the situation gets better.

These Land Rovers take people to Sandakphu, the highest point in Bengal, as other vehicles find the terrain difficult.

Right now, tourists arriving in Darjeeling from the rest of Bengal do not require a negative COVID-19 test result, unlike travellers to Sikkim.
