Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi opened to visitors on August 16 for its Summer Annuals Edition 2026. The garden will remain open until September 15, giving visitors nearly a month to explore its seasonal flowers, specialised gardens and new attractions.

Spread across 15 acres, Amrit Udyan is home to several themed gardens, including the Herbal Garden, Bonsai Garden and Tactile Garden. The Summer Annuals edition also brings a new attraction for visitors this year.

What To See At Amrit Udyan

One of the highlights of this season is the new Babbling Brook, a landscaped water feature designed to be a relaxing space within the garden. It includes a meandering stream, sculptural spouts, stepping stones and a reflecting pool.

Visitors can also explore the garden's seasonal flower displays and landscaped spaces. For families with children, Bal Vatika is another highlight. The specially curated children's garden features a 225-year-old Sheesham tree, a treehouse and Nature's Classroom.

The Summer Annuals edition also includes special visiting days for different groups. August 29 has been designated for sportspersons, while September 5 will be dedicated to teachers.

Amrit Udyan Timings And Entry Fee

Amrit Udyan is open from 10 am to 6 pm, Tuesday to Sunday, with the last entry at 5 pm. It remains closed on Mondays for maintenance. Entry is free, but visitors must book a slot online in advance. On-the-spot booking is not available. Bookings for a particular day close at 10 am on the previous day.

Visitors can book an hourly slot for up to six people on a single ticket. They should carry their digital visitor ticket on their mobile phone along with a valid photo ID.

Entry and exit are through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan on North Avenue Road.

The nearest metro station is Central Secretariat, located around 2 km from the garden. A shuttle bus is available between the metro station and the Amrit Udyan entry point every 30 minutes from 9:30 am to 6 pm.

Those travelling by bus can get off at RML Hospital Bus Station, which is less than a kilometre from the entry point.

The Summer Annuals edition is now open, making the coming weeks a good time to visit if you want to spend a few hours surrounded by flowers and landscaped gardens in the heart of Delhi.
