On April 25, the Jammu and Kashmir administration announced that all paid public parks will be closed till further orders. The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) issued an official statement on Twitter.
SEC Member-Secretary Simrandeep Singh stated that in order to prevent the spread of the virus in J&K, the SEC is exercising its powers under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act.
The State Executive Committee (SEC) has also decided to extend the ongoing night curfew by two hours within the urban local body and municipal limits in all 20 districts from 8 pm to 6 am, instead of 10 pm to 6 am.
