IHCL Expands Presence In Ayodhya With Signing Of Third Hotel

The 150-key room hotel aims to contribute to Ayodhya's growing hospitality landscape with diverse amenities and recreational facilities

In a strategic move, the Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has officially announced the signing of its third hotel in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The project is set to be branded as an IHCL SeleQtions hotel.

Puneet Chhatwal, the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of IHCL, said, "This signing aligns with IHCL's strategy to establish a significant presence in spiritual destinations. Ayodhya's remarkable transformation to a world-class pilgrimage destination, marked by the inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, is poised to draw an influx of tourists from around the world."

Chhatwal emphasised that the new addition reflects IHCL's dedication to developing cultural circuits and itineraries to harness the tourism potential of such destinations. "IHCL will now offer three distinct brands in Ayodhya of about 400 rooms, and we are delighted to collaborate with KM Vyapar Ltd for this SeleQtions hotel," he added.

The 150-key hotel, situated over 1.3 acres, is conveniently located within a short distance from the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport and other popular tourist spots. It is designed to feature a variety of dining options, including an all-day diner, and will offer recreational facilities such as a spa, swimming pool, and fitness centre. Moreover, the hotel will boast over 10,000 sq. ft of banqueting space, making it ideal for hosting social gatherings and corporate events.

Aditya Jhunjhunwala, Promoter of KM Vyapar Ltd, expressing delight at the partnership with IHCL, said, "We are confident that the company, with its successful track record of pioneering new destinations, will contribute to the growth and enhancement of Ayodhya's hospitality landscape."

Ayodhya, situated on the banks of the River Saryu in Uttar Pradesh, holds historical and religious significance as the birthplace of Lord Ram, a revered deity in Hinduism. Renowned for its ancient temples, Ayodhya has become a popular pilgrimage destination.

With the addition of this third hotel, IHCL will boast three distinctive brands in Ayodhya—SeleQtions, Vivanta, and Ginger—further solidifying its position as a critical player in the hospitality sector.
