Punjab, a land steeped in history and hospitality, is set to unveil its tourism potential during a three-day tourism summit and travel mart in Mohali from September 11 to 13. This inaugural Punjab Tourism Summit promises to showcase the state's treasures and bolster its economic prospects, according to Punjab Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Maan.
As Maan emphasised, tourism isn't just an industry; it's a gateway to heritage and a testament to hospitality. "Through the Punjab Tourism Summit, we are resolute in our mission to unveil the untapped treasures of Punjab to the world, showcasing our rich heritage and welcoming spirit," she stated.
Underlying the government's commitment to sustainable tourism practices, Maan highlighted the opening of rivers, dams, forests, and mountains to tourists. This, she noted, aligns perfectly with their dedication to eco-friendly tourism, emphasising the responsible exploration of Punjab's magnificent landscapes while preserving their natural beauty.
Careful planning has gone into identifying and preparing various tourist destinations for visitors. Maan reaffirmed their commitment to providing travellers with a holistic experience by enhancing infrastructure and services at these destinations.
The Punjab Tourism Summit isn't just a local affair; it's poised to draw investors and stakeholders nationwide. Invitations have been extended to tourism professionals and investors from all corners of India, emphasising the summit's unique platform to showcase Punjab's abundant tourism potential.
In an effort to facilitate communication between investors and tour operators, the state government is in the process of launching a mobile application. This app will serve as a one-stop platform for those interested in investing in the state's tourism potential and for tour operators looking to offer distinctive experiences to travellers. It's an invitation to explore the rich heritage of this culturally vibrant state and a testament to its commitment to responsible and enriching tourism experiences.
