&lsquoVision in the making&rsquo, an altermodern art project curated by Myna Mukherjee, and David Quadrio is a month-long exhibition that aims to create a space for mutual enquiry, transformation and translation between cultures. Featuring six women artists from Italy and South Asia - Amina Ahmed, Natascia Fenoglio, Stefania Galegati Shines, Marta Roberti,

Shilo Suleiman & Gopa Trivedi, the space exhibits works that defy standardisation and commercialisation. In addition, their work provides a framework for a new modernisation that is emerging and is reconfigured to an age of hybridisation. All six new artists will create new artwork, site installations, and performances for this show.

A two-site art exhibition project by Arthub and Engendered, Transnational Arts, &lsquoVision in the making&rsquo was initiated to bring together three Italian artists to New Delhi, to study the signs, forms and materials that have sustained over time in South Asian art practices. The project was further developed to include South Asian women artists whose work focuses on aesthetics, politics and pedagogic lineages.

The art project comprises of an alternative site at the India Art Fair, where the exhibition will have site-specific art with emphasis on gender, equality and choice.

On January 30, as part of a special feature, artist Natascio Fenoglio will be working with local chefs at the restaurant Diva to develop a series of dishes that would then be presented as an art installation.
