To increase the ease of doing business, the Rajasthan government has adopted a digital model to provide smooth, hassle-free services for those making films, as well as for travel companies, and safari operators

Those looking to discover Rajasthan's forts, wildlife, palaces, museums, lakes, and religious places and experience the state's incredible heritage and scenic beauty can now avail of several online services.

The online platform will grant film and commercial product shooting permits in the state while taking into consideration the Rajasthan Film Shooting (Amendment) Regulations 2016.

Rajasthan has been extensively captured in movies. From Christopher Nolan to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the locations in the state are preferred by both Bollywood and Hollywood filmmakers. Several Bollywood films like Rang De Basanti, Delhi 6, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, and Bajirao Mastani owe their part of the success to the colourful backdrops shot in the state.

Rajasthan provides a wide range of locations and facilities for any kind of filmmaker and genre of filmmaking, ranging from blockbusters with huge budgets to documentaries made on a tight budget. Udaipur, Pushkar, Sawai Madhopur, Nagpur, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Jhalwar, Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Dungarpur, Bundi, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Barmer, Ajmer, and Banswara are the most visited attractions in the state by filmmakers.

The Rajasthan Tourism Department had previously issued standard operating procedures for film shoots to promote the film industry during the unlocking phase. The launch of the online authorisation service will further ease the process wherein filmmakers do not need to be physically present for application requirements at the department office.

The department has also launched online registration processes for travel companies, excursion agencies, and safari operators to boost the ease of doing business in the tourism industry.

The online services have been made live from January 8, and people can easily access them from the Single Sign-On (SSO) login at sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
