OT Your job must require you to travel a lot...
Daniel Craig I&rsquove stopped counting destinations. With Bond films, I liked the fact that they picked you up and transported you somewhere. We have tried to continue that excitement with Spectre we take audiences to many places. Bond moves from Mexico to London to Rome to the Austrian Alps to Tangier and the Moroccan desert before doubling back to London for the climax. From the point of view of travel, this was the most rewarding Bond film for me.
OT What&rsquos your idea of a perfect holiday
Daniel Craig After two years of time away from the family doing a film, it&rsquos about switching off completely. It&rsquos also about letting go doing the things I cannot or will not because of the film at hand, such as eating what I like, drinking as much as I want and not gymming What usually happens is that even at 6am on a Sunday, I&rsquom bolt upright in bed thinking that I&rsquove got to go to work. Holidays are about turning that alarm off and going to sleep.
OT When was the last time you took a break
Daniel Craig I managed to squeeze in a brief holiday in Menorca with the family as soon as we finished shooting. That was in July, but it feels like it was a long time ago.
OT What was that like
Daniel Craig (Wife) Rachel and I are both beach lovers. Menorca was peaceful, and we spent our time swimming and cooking in the kitchen of a friend&rsquos villa.
OT Bond cooks
Daniel Craig Oh yes, and I&rsquom proud to admit, rather well Clams are my speciality and I love eating them on my trips abroad&mdashto see how they are done in various places.
OT What do you always pack for a holiday
Daniel Craig A tuxedo, my Walther PPK, my martini shaker (laughs). No, I just pack a couple of rags&mdashclothing that&rsquos travel-friendly but doesn&rsquot look shabby, and many sunglasses.
OT Your travel secrets that nobody knows...
Daniel Craig Okay, this is fun. I&rsquom as star-struck as anyone can be. I once shared a flight to New York City with Alicia Keys and Desmond Tutu, but could not talk to either of them I smiled at Alicia Keys, but I couldn&rsquot look Desmond Tutu in the eye. The other thing is that sometimes I check into hotels by signing in as a Bond villain, a different one each time. I know it&rsquos stupid, but I do it.
OT Some places that you&rsquod like to visit
Daniel Craig Not visit for the sake of a stamp on my passport, but actually see Your country is one. I have been to Kerala and shot in Goa, and we had planned to shoot a bit of Skyfall in Mumbai, but I do want to spend a few months travelling the span of India. I love Bollywood films and would love to see one being made.
