Kanatal, located in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal district, is set to welcome a new resort. IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a franchise agreement with Yamini Marketing's (OPC) Pvt. Ltd for the development of voco Resort Kanatal, which will be managed by United Hospitality Management (UHM) India. The resort is scheduled to open in 2030.

Located along the Chamba-Mussoorie route, the property will bring IHG’s voco brand to a destination that is slowly finding its place on the leisure travel map. With its mountain setting, access to nature and proximity to attractions such as Tehri Lake and Surkanda Devi Temple, Kanatal offers the kind of slower-paced escape that many travellers seek for short breaks.

For those planning a future getaway to the hills, the resort could also serve as a reason to make the destination itself part of the travel plan.

A New Stay In The Hills

Envisioned as a premium mountain resort, voco Resort Kanatal will feature 92 guestrooms, meeting and event spaces, and three dining options. These will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a bar.

The property will also have a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre and kids’ play area. The facilities are designed to cater to different kinds of travellers, from families and wellness seekers to couples planning a quiet mountain escape or intimate celebrations.
